The Harbor Breeze Solstice is one unique looking ceiling fan sporting some old world charm and appeal. From it's very distinctive bronzed-rustic finish to the 5 ceiling fan blades that look like wooden palm leaves (very nice touch in my opinion) that also have a rustic look, you could definitely classify this one as a rustic ceiling fan. This fan could bring that missing piece to any room that has a darker more classy look and feel.

Let's talk about a little detail of the fan itself. Starting from an overall look, the fan displays a deep and rich rustic tone. At the top, you'll be able to mount it with a standard downrod mount that will allow for an extension if you want the fan to drop lower than the included downrod for those of you with high ceilings or open spaces. The housing to me on this fan is one of a kind. Almost in a semi tulip bulb shape I guess with broad vertical striping detail, really lends a touch of class to this fan. Then throw in the etched to perfection details of the blades that really do look like some sort of palms which makes you atleast think of nothing but gentles breezes, you'll actually be able to feel the breeze. The blades are a little wider than most typical ceiling fan blades are in much more of an oval shape than the typical polygonal or rectangle shaped blades. The light housing is fairly unique to this fan. With a semi-globed effect attached to the bronze drop light casing, it really adds to this uniquely designed ceiling fan.

Let's get down to the nuts and bolts on this particular fan. First let's start with what it is not. This is not an Energy Star qualified ceiling fan. The Harbor Breeze Solstice is not an outdoor ceiling fan. This particular fan does not have a CSA Safety listing or an ETL safety listing but does have a UL safety listing. What the Harbor Breeze Solstice is though is definitely one of those indoor ceiling fans that would bring some elegance to the right type of room. It's a 52-inch ceiling fan with a three speed reversible motor supporting some reverse air flow, so it would be good for all seasons. It has 5 blades and an excellent rustic bronze finish. And not only that it comes with a remote control and light kit included (with a 40 watt maximum bulb wattage.

I've only seen this fan installed in a couple of locations, one was a restraurant that had them lined up down the ceiling covering the whole dining area, looked really great.
