Every home should have ceiling fans in certain rooms if not all. Used to circulate air and control temperature, they can really help out with your heating and cooling bills. Some fans come with lights while others do not, some have remotes while others remote controls are sold separately. It really just depends on what you want from your fan, but when you first start looking at a new one, decide first on what style will best compliment the room in your home you are planning to install it.
There are many styles to choose from ranging from traditional to contemporary ceiling fans, modern to tropical ceiling fans, and so on. There truly is a fan to suit any style of room and decor.
Got a small space that needs some air circulation or just a gentle breeze? Say a smallish sized dining room or a utility room. Well, get a small 30-inch ceiling fan. You've probably seen them before in your local home improvement stores and just never paid to much attention to them placed up there next to all those giant wind circulators they have on display. Heck, you might of even thought of them as a toy fan or just a display model to show you what the real ceiling fan would look like. Well, I'm here to tell you they are more than real.
Brown 30 Inch Ceiling Fan
Most all major ceiling fan manufacturers make them, they just don't promote them as much as they aren't typically there bigger ticket items. But you'll find these 30-inch ceiling fans in all makes from Harbor Breeze to Hampton Bay to Litex to Westinghouse and many, many more. Not only that, talk about easy on the budget. You can pick up these small ceiling fans at a fraction of those cost that you would typically spend on the much larger models. They typically range on the lower end from $30 to $50 dollars, but there are some models with the extra addage of lighting (some that include lighting both above the ceiling fan around the housing and below the ceiling fan itself) that can tend to get a bit more pricey. But then again it all depends on what you want and what type of room it's going in.
If you are going to put some wind in the utility room then I wouldn't think that you'd need one of the more pricier models when a simple 30-inch ceiling fan with some lighting would do. However, if you are going for a more formal look in a small dining room then maybe one of the more fancier models will take precedence, you know to impress those folks that you invite over to dinner and use the good plates on every now and then or maybe just to add some extra value to your home.
One thing to keep in mind though is that most of these smaller fans don't come with the wireless remote as most of them simply don't have the room to encompass the wireless connections. But you could always purchase that extra if you simply need it. My personal opinion on that though is that if you're buying a 30-inch ceiling fan for a small room that you are probably not going to be in all the time, save your money and forego the remote. Although cool, it's not really needed to run this kind of ceiling fan. It's not like you're sitting in the living room watching your favorite television show and not wanting to get up to either turn the fan up or down a notch or two to make your life more comfortable, you'll probably only be around these fans once in a while but they'll sure come in handy when you are.
